Best JCC Website Case Study: Alper JCC Miami

We are excited to announce the launch of the newly designed website for Alper JCC Miami. From design to navigation, there are endless new features to highlight on this Jewish Community Center website.

Navigation

• The secondary navigation menu items on this site are displayed with playful icons.
• These unique icons offer a more customizable and fun approach to the content listed out on the navigation.
• In the top right corner of the site, you will see the utility navigation with a search icon.
• Using a search box element on your website is a vital way to help visitors navigate through pages and find the exact information they are searching for. 
• On the footer navigation of the site is also four quick links that site visitors can click on to access these top viewed pages. 

Homepage design

• The homepage features a large hero image with arrows that you can click through to view other images and calls to action. Alper JCC Miami staff can easily swap out these images, text, and calls-to-action at any time using 立博客户端app下载 Freedom.
• You will also notice an alert bar on the homepage underneath the main navigation. 
• Adding alerts to your homepage is a great way to display time-sensitive information. [Learn more about homepage alerts for your JCC here.]
• Below the homepage image slider is a branded grid with quick links promoting group exercise classes, ECD preschool, and camp programs. 
• The classes and events slider also displays upcoming events for J members. These events are tagged as virtual or on-site.
• You will also notice on the homepage, and throughout all the pages of the site, an Accessibility widget that is ADA compliant.

Component-based design

• The Pages Module in 立博客户端app下载 Freedom allows Alper JCC Miami to display unique components throughout the site. 
• A component is a panel of information that is displayed in a custom format that can be applied to different pages throughout a site, allowing for content and imagery to easily be switched out as needed.
• A great example of a component-based design is the Join the J page with dropdown drawers to display content and call-to-action blocks. 
• For each primary navigation menu item (there is 6 total on this J site), there is a landing page also created with a component-based design. Check out the Sports & Recreation and Youth & Family pages.
• This allows the J staff to focus on providing high-quality content for members and future constituents while enjoying a consistent and beautiful design across the pages of their site.
• The About Us page also does a great job of highlighting what makes Alper JCC Miami so special to its community and also follows best practices for creating an engaging About page. [Read more about that here.]

Website forms

• The make a donation form on the Donate page is very easy for members or anyone who would like to make a contribution to Alper JCC Miami. 
• Once the donation form is completed, the J receives an email notification and the funds are easily deposited into their registered bank account. 
• The Membership Application form is another form created for this J so people can easily sign up and become an Alper JCC Miami from their computer or phone. Once completed, the J staff are notified of the application.
